In the off-season there is no regular bus service between the cities Pochutla, Puerto Angel, San Agustinillo and Mazunte. The only public transportation is by taxi or so called "Pasajeras". These are pickups with a tarp over the loading space and benches. (see photo)
A cheaper way to travel by taxi is using it as a "Colectivo". That simply means you have to wait until the cab gets full.

The closest airports are:

  • National Airport of Puerto Escondido (90 km, about 56 miles)
  • International Airport of Bahías de Huatulco (40 km, about 25 miles)

It is recommended to book connecting mexican flights from your home country because the tickets are generally very expensive in Mexico.

All bus terminals are located in our municipality Cd. San Pedro Pochutla. Have a look at the map.

The public transportation system of Mexico City is a bit intricate and not very well described in several guide books. On this website made by the federal district government you will find good information about the different bus terminals, the metro, the trolley bus, the light rail and much more. You can also find maps to print out or to download.
